Ohio Surgery Center

ohio-surgery-center1The Ohio Surgery Center (OSC), a Joint Commission accredited facility, opened in June 1998 and specializes in ENT cases. The Center’s specialty is providing surgical services to infants, children and adults.

We are proud to have two board certified and fellowship trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists, who trained at three of the top five Children’s Hospitals in the country, serving our patients.

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia -Bernard Harris, MD
Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles -Melanie George, MD

  • 60% of the surgeries performed at the OSC are pediatric.
  • Approximately 3,200 common childhood surgeries (ear tubes, tonsils and adenoids) are performed on children under the age of 12 at the OSC annually.
  • Because the OSC’s fees are substantially less than a traditional hospital, our patients save money on the deductible and/or coinsurance portion that more patients are now required to pay themselves. We have created value for our shared patients.
  • The surgeries are performed by otolaryngologists, from Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians, who have over 300 combined years of experience.
  • Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians’ ENTs prefer to do surgeries at the OSC because of the experience and consistency of the staff. By specializing in ENT procedures, the flow of the day is more predictable and efficient for physicians and patients, leading to greater consistency of treatment and outcomes.
  • At the OSC, we give each patient the highest quality of individualized care that is family-centered and patient focused.
  • We can provide cost estimates based on the true patient responsibility for any of our procedures.
  • The convenience of the OSC’s location makes the day of surgery less stressful for patients and their families.
  • The admission and discharge process has been streamlined.
